Kim Chang-soo, CEO of AimFuture, announced on the 27th, “We are currently supplying Neural Processing Unit (NPU) technology in the form of IP (Intellectual Property) to semiconductor companies.” He added, “We plan to expand our business into the AI semiconductor field, which is larger than the semiconductor IP market, to grow our revenue and use this momentum to pursue listing on the KOSDAQ market.”
With the advent of the AI era, AimFuture has successively licensed its NPU IP to several domestic semiconductor-related companies, including SemiFive, SuperGate, and PNPnet. The company is also scheduled to sign a licensing agreement soon with Quofin, which specializes in semiconductors for the defense industry.
CEO Kim has also been preparing for entry into the overseas market. In this regard, AimFuture has consistently participated in major domestic and international exhibitions, including setting up booths at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held annually in Las Vegas in January.
“Our NPU IP customer base, which has been primarily focused on domestic semiconductor firms, will expand into the overseas market starting in the second half of this year,” said Kim. “We have already finalized a licensing agreement with a major Chinese semiconductor company.”
Furthermore, AimFuture plans to directly enter the AI semiconductor business. To achieve this, the company recently secured sales rights for related AI semiconductor technology from LG Electronics.
“We will first apply our AI semiconductors to areas such as Smart Home, Smart Building, and Smart City, and then expand the scope to the Robotics sector,” he explained. “For the NPU IP business, we plan to add royalty income following the current licensing revenue. Leveraging both streams, we aim to enter the KOSDAQ market through a technical exception listing in the second half of 2027.”
